Drone Detection & Intrusion Investigations · Delta 7 UAS

Someone is watching from above. We find out who.

Drones have made aerial surveillance of private lives effortless: estates, families, guests and deals observed from 400 feet. We are a rapid deployment team. We bring drone-detection receivers to your property, tell you whether anyone is flying over you, and when a drone appears an investigator goes to where it took off, identifies the pilot and gives your lawyer a report. If the problem is permanent, we design, supply and train you on a system of your own.

Detection is where others stop. It is where we start.

Delta 7 is a licensed California investigation firm. For us, an alert is only the first step of an investigation whose goal is to identify the bad actor.

  1. Detection. Our receivers passively read the Remote ID broadcast the FAA requires every registered drone to transmit and place the aircraft, its flight path and the pilot's position on a live map.
  2. Response. An investigator moves on the launch area while the aircraft is still airborne.
  3. Identifiers. On site, we capture the identifiers that tie the flight to a person: the aircraft, the operator, and what they arrived in. The specifics of how are our tradecraft.
  4. Background investigation. Those identifiers become the starting point for a full background investigation of the subject through lawful, permissible-purpose sources, led by a former FBI Supervisory Special Agent. We attempt identification; we do not guarantee it.
  5. Referral and report. A litigation-grade report with detection logs, flight paths, timestamps, imagery and chain of custody, delivered to the client's attorney or referred to law enforcement, with supporting declarations and testimony available.

Why the investigator matters

A detection log identifies an aircraft. Registration identifies an owner. And every bad actor keeps the same defenses ready: I sold it. It was stolen. I wasn't flying. An investigator at the launch area during the flight — the vehicle, the plate, and the operator at the controls, documented while it happens — collapses that defense. Detection is a lead. Attribution is a case, and Delta 7 delivers it.

Four ways to engage us

Situational Awareness Deployment. Find out what is flying over you. Our receivers at your property or venue for 1 to 30 days or longer, watched by our investigators, with a written airspace assessment at the end: what flew, when, how often, and from where. With or without an investigator on site to go to the launch point.

Drone Intrusion Investigation. When the drone comes back, the case starts. We identify the pilot, prove the pattern and give your lawyer a court-ready report.

Event Coverage. A wedding, private party, deposition, board meeting or executive movement, covered from a vehicle-based setup that is receiving within 30 minutes, day or night, with drone and pilot positions pushed live to your security team.

Long-Term Monitoring. Continuous detection with investigators behind it, so the airspace over your property is never unwatched. Monthly or annual.

The Sentinel Program

Our flagship tier for clients who need to know whether a pattern exists: 30, 60 or 90 days of continuous collection, scheduled response windows, interim reports and a formal threat assessment that answers the questions that matter. Is there a threat, is it the same aircraft or operator returning, and who is behind it? Repeat-offender identification across engagements is part of the service.

LIVE TACTICAL VIEWTRACKING RESIDENCE LAUNCH POINT OPERATOR POSITION VEHICLE DOCUMENTED

Illustrative scenario: the broadcast reveals the launch point while the aircraft loiters, on record before it lands.

Detection to doorstep

Every compliant drone broadcasts its own position and its operator's take-off location. While the aircraft is still in the air, our platform places both on a live map, and an investigator is already moving. By the time it lands, the launch area and the people around it are on record.

Is it the same drone again?

Every aircraft broadcasts a unique serial number. Across multi-day deployments, and our growing cross-case database, we identify repeat aircraft and establish the documented pattern of conduct that turns a nuisance into a case.

Legal framework

  • Delta 7 Group is a California-licensed private investigation firm, CA PI Lic. No. 188424. Every phase after detection is investigative work performed under that license.
  • Detection is passive only. We receive broadcasts the FAA requires drones to transmit; we never jam, capture or interfere with an aircraft, which is a federal offense for private parties.
  • All field documentation is conducted lawfully from locations where we have a right to be.
  • Records access is limited to permissible purposes under federal and California law.
  • California Civil Code §1708.8 gives you a civil claim, with treble damages, against a drone operator who captures images of private activity. Our report is built to support it.
  • We coordinate with law enforcement when an intrusion warrants it; a Remote ID serial gives officers a same-day path to the registered operator.

Delta7UAS.com · the drone detection practice

Our drone practice has its own site.

Delta 7 UAS is the drone-detection side of Delta 7 Group: a rapid deployment team that finds out whether you have a drone problem and who is behind it, and, if you decide you need your own system, an authorized Dronetag reseller that designs it, supplies it and trains your people to run it. Everything below is described in full there, with a quote request for equipment and a proposal request for services.

Every drone has a pilot. We find them.

Drone Intrusion Investigations cover FAA Remote ID-compliant aircraft, which includes the consumer and prosumer drones used in nearly every privacy intrusion. Engagements are led by a former FBI Supervisory Special Agent and government-trained TSCM examiner. Delta 7 is often retained alongside a TSCM sweep of the residence and vehicles, or to design, supply and train on a permanent detection system after a deployment confirms the threat.
